Prithivirajan Durairajan received his B.Tech degree in Bio-Engineering from SASTRA University, Tanjore, India. He previously was a student intern and later a research scholar at Dr.Sant’s lab in school of pharmacy at University of Pittsburgh. He has worked on pharmaceutical film formulations for enhanced mucoadhesion property. He also has experience with microfabrication technique (Designing and development).
He also had worked on an industrial project which involves color-masked nutraceutical particles with Dr.Vinayak Sant in school of pharmacy at University of Pittsburgh. He is currently a graduate student in school of pharmacy at University of Pittsburgh and working on drug formulations for delivering proteins which has antiretroviral properties in Dr.Rohan’s lab. His areas of research interest are drug formulation & delivery, microfabrication and 3-D printing drug delivery devices.
My areas of research interest include drug formulation & delivery, microfabrication and 3-D printing drug delivery devices. Currently my research focuses on understanding protein drug formulation as a microbicide product and also developing a pH sensitive formulation for delivering non-hormonal spermicidal drug.
