Program: PhD Track: Pharmaceutics Advisor: Samuel M. Poloyac, PharmD, PhD
I am from Berks County Pa and new to Pittsburgh. I graduated from Ursinus College in 2014 with a BS in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. While in college, I interned in the Quality Assurance department at Viropharma Inc, and found a passion for medicine and drug development. After graduating, I joined Rockland Immunochemicals as a research assistant for a year and a half, where I helped develop methods for antibody purification. I then joined a PPD as a Scientist and worked on site at GlaxoSmithKline in their stability department, where I ran LC, PCR, and CGE testing on their R&D pipeline products. After a year and half, I was promoted to a Senior Scientist, which gave me the opportunity to help provide input on projects. I then left the company to pursue a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. When I am not in lab, I work as a 4RS consultant to gain experience of applying science in a business environment.
My research interest is in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in clinical research, specifically in critical care.
