Keito Hoshitsuki, PharmD is a PhD graduate student in the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences track at PittPharmacy in the laboratory of faculty member Christian A. Fernandez, PhD. He is a Rho Chi-AFPE fellow and TL1 Postdoctoral fellow. Hoshitsuki received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy with Areas of Concentration in Research and Pediatrics (2017) and completed PGY1 pharmacy residency at Children’s Minnesota (2018) and PGY2 specialty residency in Clinical Pharmacogenomics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (2019). His clinical and translational research and practice areas of interest include pharmacogenomics and mechanisms of immune-mediated adverse drug reactions, particularly in the pediatric and hematology/oncology patient populations. He also contributes to clinical pharmacogenomics research and implementation through the Pharmacogenomics Center of Excellence (PI: Empey). He serves on several national committees and working groups including in the Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network (PGRN) and Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC).
