Trisha Miller received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in 2010. She then completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Hospital of Saint Rapheal in New Haven, Connecticut. Upon completion of her residency, she obtained a position at UPMC Shadyside as an ambulatory care pharmacist.
Dr. Miller currently practices at Shea Medical Center, which is an adult internal medicine practice. She also is a frequent volunteer at the Birmingham Free Clinic. Her practice and research interests include hypertension, anticoagulation, HIV preexposure prophylaxis, multidisciplinary care, and interprofessional education.
Dr. Miller serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students completing introductory and advanced professional rotations, in addition to both PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. She is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, for which she actively serves on a national committee. Beyond pharmacy, Dr. Miller enjoys reading, running, watching college basketball, and spending time with her two goldendoodles.
