Joshua Deppas, M.S., is currently a Ph.D. student in the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences track at PittPharmacy and a TL1 Predoctoral Fellow. He conducts research in Dr. Jan H. Beumer's laboratory at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Joshua received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science and Mathematics, with minors in chemistry and biology, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Joshua received a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2020 and a Certificate in Clinical and Translational Research from the institute for Clinical Research Education at the University of Pittsburgh in 2021.

The overarching mission of Joshua's research is to examine the pharmacology, metabolism and potential mechanisms of anticancer drugs and to contribute to the pre-clinical and clinical drug development process. Joshua's long-term goal is to incorporate his research into the clinic, with the eventual aim of enhancing the quality of care in cancer patients.
