Samantha is currently a PhD student in Dr. Philip Empey's laboratory. In 2016, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences at The Ohio State University. Samantha graduated from Pitt Pharmacy with her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2020 with an Area of Concentration in Research. In 2020, she was selected as one of the inaugural Inter-Society Coordinating Committee for Practitioner Education in Genomics Scholars. In 2021, she completed a Master's level certificate in Clinical and Translational Research through Pitt's School of Medicine. Samantha is currently a licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania.

Samantha’s Research interests include large-scale population research, pharmacogenomics, psychiatric conditions, and education.
