Maria Lowry, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP was awarded the Tara E. Cook Memorial Teaching Award on June 5, 2024. Honorees for this award are nominated by either trainees or peers and the award is presented by UPMC Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics. This award recognizes Hospice and Palliative Medicine Faculty who have shown a commitment to excellence in medical education.
Dr. Lowry is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She is a Palliative Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at UPMC Palliative and Supportive Insitute. She teaches in the didactic and clinical curriculum for the University of Pittsburgh Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship.
