Associate Dean Meyer Elected Rho Chi Society National President-elect

PittPharmacy_SusanMeyer_06.2014_002Delegates to the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Rho Chi Society elected Susan M. Meyer, PhD, associate dean for education and professor, PittPharmacy, as national president-elect. Meyer will serve a six-year term on the Society's Executive Council as president-elect (2016-2018), president (2018-2020), and immediate past president (2020-2022). Meyer's engagement with Rho Chi Society is long-standing. She was selected for membership in Rho Chi as a pharmacy student in 1982. She served as the faculty co-advisor for the Alpha Eta Chapter at Rutgers University from 1987 to 1990 and, since 2008, serves as the faculty co-advisor for the Alpha Omicron Chapter at the University of Pittsburgh. She previously served two consecutive terms on the Executive Council as the elected Councilor from Region II (2010-2012; 2012-2014). As the academic honor society in pharmacy, the Rho Chi Society encourages and recognizes intellectual achievement, stimulates critical inquiry to advance pharmacy, contributes to the development of intellectual leaders, promotes high ethical standards, and fosters collaboration among its members. Membership in the Rho Chi Society is a privilege accorded to those who distinguish themselves by their academic and professional achievements and who aspire to the mission and vision of the Society.
