Dr. Philip Empey Receives National Award for Advancing Precision Medicine

Dr. Philip Empey receiving awardDr. Philip Empey recently received the Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC) Luminary Award.  The PMWC Luminary Award is given at the Precision Medicine World Conference to recognize leaders in the field of precision medicine. The award recognizes people who have helped integrate precision medicine into clinical practice. 

Dr. Empey is an Associate Professor in Pharmacy & Therapeutics and is director of the Center for Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences.  He is Associate Director of the Pitt/UPMC Institute for Precision Medicine and leads the Pittsburgh Pharmacogenomics (PittPGx) programs include the PGx Center of Excellence, PreCISE-Rx, and Test2Learn teams to implement pharmacogenomics clinical, research, and educational initiatives.
