Two members of the Beta Kappa chapter of Kappa Psi were awarded scholarships at the 58th Kappa Psi Grand Council Convention (GCC) in Naples, Florida. Heather Johnson (Class of 2018) and Shannon Ye (Class of 2019) were two of only thirteen members nationwide to receive scholarships at this event. Johnson and Ye were joined at the event by Dana Roman, PharmD, another member of the Beta Kappa chapter who graduated in 2010. Roman gave multiple presentations concerning hazmat toxidromes and infectious pathogens.
The Kappa Psi members are thankful for their awards and are determined to put them to good use as PittPharmacy students.
