Associate Dean Melissa A. McGivney has been appointed to the American Medical Association (AMA) Health Care Professional Advisory Committee (HCPAC) as an alternative advisor representing the Pharmacy Health Information Technology (HIT) Collaborative.
McGivney is only the third pharmacist to serve on the HCPAC.
The HCPAC is an advisory committee to the CPT Editorial Panel which is responsible for revising, updating and modifying CPT codes utilized in medical billing across the United States. McGivney will serve from April 2020-June 2022.
