Marissa Badzik (Class of 2018) was accepted to a highly competitive Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation with Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) in Washington, DC. She will be completing this rotation from March 19, 2018 to April 20, 2018. The purpose of this rotation is to provide a unique learning experience in the field of pharmacy quality and association management. PQA is a consensus-based, multi-stakeholder group that develops quality metrics used across multiple healthcare settings.
PQA offers a competitive experiential rotation in non-profit management, with an emphasis on quality. The rotation will give students in their final year of an accredited PharmD program a unique perspective into the operations and activities of a national quality association, focusing on medication use issues which impact healthcare on a national level.
