Kangho Suh, PharmD, PhD, received a grant from the Alkermes Pathways Research Awards® for his proposal titled "Assessing the comparative and cost-effectiveness of second-generation antipsychotics long-acting injectables in schizophrenia." The awards program is an opportunity for early-career investigators to receive funding for research focused on schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
Suh is the principal investigator, with KN Roy Chengappa as his mentor and co-investigator. The project will use a nationally representative administrative claims database to assess time to psychiatric hospitalization, healthcare costs, and cost-effectiveness associated with the long-acting injectables.
Suh is an assistant professor in the department of pharmacy and therapeutics at Pitt Pharmacy.
