Wen Xie Invited Speaker at AAPS Meeting

Faculty member Wen Xie, MD, PhD was an invited speaker at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) annual meeting held in San Antonio, Texas, on November 10-14, 2013.  Xie spoke at the symposium of Xenobiotic Nuclear Receptors: More than Master Regulators of Drug Disposition. The title of Xie's presentation was CAR and PXR: Novel Therapeutic Targets in Obesity and Diabetes. Wen Xie is a professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the School of Pharmacy, the Joseph Koslow Endowed Chair in Pharmaceutical Science, and director of the center for pharmacogenetics.
