Catherine Bourg Rebitch

Catherine Rebitch joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2019. She is a native of Pittsburgh and received her PharmD from Duquesne University in 2009. After completing residency training at West Virginia University Hospitals (PGY1) and the University of Georgia/Charlie Norwood VA (PGY2 Ambulatory Care), she began her career in academia at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, where she was a faculty member from 2011 - 2019. She is board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy and is passionate about improving access to care for underserved populations, collaborating with medical providers and staff to optimize medication use, and training pharmacy residents and students. Dr. Rebitch maintains a clinical practice as a family medicine pharmacist at UPMC Matilda Theiss and volunteers at the 9th Street Clinic in McKeesport. She represents Pitt Pharmacy at the University level for Community Engagement and has led interprofessional efforts to increase access to health education and services in undeserved parts of the city as part of Pitt’s place-based Neighborhood Commitments. Within the PharmD curriculum, she co-coordinates Pharmacist Patient Care 1 & 2 (P1) and contributes to Nonprescription Therapies & Self-Care (P2).
