Dr. Rohan is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the School of Pharmacy. She also holds appointments in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences in the School of Medicine and the Clinical Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, she is an Investigator at the Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI). She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mucosal Immunology. With over 35 years of experience in pharmaceutical product development, including several years in the pharmaceutical industry, her current research focuses on the areas of women’s health, infectious diseases, and global health needs. Her laboratory is dedicated to "transforming global and women’s health through pharmaceutical innovation," and her team has successfully developed over 50 pharmaceutical products, with 13 of them translated from the bench to the clinic.
