Samantha Bailey is a PhD Candidate in the Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist track in the laboratory of Dr. Philip Empey. Her research interests include large-scale population research, pharmacogenomics, depressive disorders, and education.
Samantha graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with an Area of Concentration in Research from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2020 and is a licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania. In 2020, she was selected as an inaugural Inter-Society Coordinating Committee for Practitioner Education in Genomics (ISCC-PEG) Scholar. Samantha completed a Master's level certificate in Clinical and Translational Research through Pitt's School of Medicine (2021), and received the Randy and Renee Juhl Graduate Scholar Award (2023).
