High School Students
We are so excited that you are interested in pursuing your pharmacy degree at Pitt Pharmacy! Welcome! We are a 4-year PharmD program where our students complete 60-62 credits of prerequisite courses as undergraduates (typically in 2 years) prior to entry into the 4-year professional Doctor of Pharmacy program. During the second year in college, students apply for admission to the PharmD program through the centralized pharmacy application (PharmCAS). Although we are not a direct admission program, we are excited to talk with you.
From high school, individuals apply for admission to the University of Pittsburgh as first-year students through the Office of Admissions. Individuals who select pharmacy in the Guaranteed Admissions Program drop-down box on the Application for Undergraduate Admissions will be considered for the guarantee as part of the comprehensive individual review for admissions conducted by the University of Pittsburgh Office of Admissions.
Pitt Pharmacy offers Guaranteed Admissions at Pittsburgh, Pitt Johnstown, Pitt Greensburg, and Pitt Bradford.
