The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy fosters the development of pharmacy residents as pharmacist educators of the future. This individualized program, available to PGY-1 and PGY2 residents, combines discussion of best practices and educational methodology with hands on diverse teaching opportunities.
The program provides opportunities to apply fundamental principles of learning and teaching through structured educational sessions and teaching opportunities including large group engagement, small group facilitation, simulated activities and effective preceptorship. Residents who complete the program requirements will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the year, awarded on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.
